Respite is a ‘short break’ for rest and recovery. Many residents join us permanently after trial stays, finding it a supportive way to ease into aged care.
It can be booked in advance if a carer is away or needed in emergencies, such as after a hospital visit.

At VMCH, we believe every life is sacred. Our palliative care is person-centred, offering dignity, love and compassion.
We ease pain and fatigue, provide comfort, and foster connection so each person lives fully to the end. As a Catholic organisation, we do not support Voluntary Assisted Dying.

VMCH provides specialised dementia care in a safe, enriching environment. Our Montessori approach supports independence, dignity and purpose through routines, activities and clear communication.
Secure spaces reduce anxiety while focusing on strengths builds confidence, connection and belonging.

VMCH offers pastoral care to support emotional and spiritual wellbeing, regardless of faith or background. Our practitioners provide companionship, prayer, guidance and a listening ear.
Pastoral care nurtures body, mind and spirit, offering compassion, presence and respect for each person’s unique journey.
